How to Reach the DIQUIS DEL SUR - COSTA RICA

EASYRIDE FROM SAN JOSE TO OJOCHAL

1) The easiest way from San Jose .

1.2) EasyRide will pick you up at your hotel (8h00am) and bring you at the Diquis. Price,

FLIGHT BETWEEN SAN JOSE AND SOUTH OF COSTA RICA

2) The quickest way to reach the DIQUIS is by air travel. Each day, the SANSA Company has a flight departing from San Jose at 9:30 AM, going to Palmar Sur (30 minutes from the DIQUIS). The duration of flight is 35 minutes.

2.1) You must reserve your airline seat before leaving. It is done directly on the SANSA site: www.flysansa.com A one-way ticket costs 106$ (including taxes). We can also book for you, the Diquis have a account with SANSA.

2.2) Barring an unforeseen event or mishap, we’ll make sure to pick you up at Palmar Sur. If we are unable to do so, please go to the DIQUIS, in Ojochal, by taxi.

P.S. Also 5 departures available by day from Quepos (Manuel Antonio) located at 1 1/4 hour to the Diquis (SANSA). Price : 75$ US. If you'll like to choose this option, contact us for the transport between airport and Diquis.

BY BUS FROM SAN JOSE TO OJOCHAL

3 ) Your flight to San José arrives early afternoon (Air Canada or Delta or …). If you wish to reach the DIQUIS in Ojochal on the very same day:

3.1) Go to the MUSOC Terminal by taxi. MUSOC buses only go to San Isidro (Perez Zeledon). For less than 6$ US, enjoy a tree-hour journey in the mountains (one stop mid-way). The view is spectacular and the buses are comfortable. Departures every hour, from 5 H 30 in the morning to 6 h 30 in the evening. MUSOC proposes also a new first class service, departures from San Jose at 1 h & 4 h in the afternoon; departures from San Isidro at 4 h 45 & 7 h in the morning.

3.2) From San Isidro (Perez Zeledon), take a taxi. Ask for Ojochal, 25 minutes south to Dominical. The journey’s duration is a little over an hour and costs approximately 55$. As soon as you reach Ojochal , DIQUIS signposts will show you the way towards the Resort.

RENT A CAR FROM SAN JOSE TO OJOCHAL

4) If you drive a rental car and wish to go to Ojochal on your own, beware that this option is recommended for seasoned travelers only, familiar with South American roads.

OPTION 1 - Center Costa Rica

- From the Airport, travel towards San Jose.

- From San Jose to Cartago, go through the city of San Jose following a west-east direction.

- From Cartago, drive to San Isidro (Perez Zeledon); make sure to follow routa 2 (Inter-Americana Sur).

- Go from San Isidro to Dominical

- 35 kilometers South of Dominical, to Ojochal, on the Pacific coastal road.

OPTION 2 - Pacific Coast

- From the Airport to the City of Atenas, then Orotina, and travel along the Pacific Coast.
